Just as the last 100 years have witnessed a major shift in the way we live, the way we interact with our living spaces will also change beyond all recognition in the future. How will we interact with our living spaces in 2030 or 2050?

We continuously strive to enhance our living and working environments. The environments we live in today are almost unrecognisable from those that existed before the internet – not just in aesthetic capacity, but in the way we function within in. Our living spaces have much more to benefit from the digital ecosystem and connectivity that surrounds us today. How will future development shape the way we interact with our living spaces?

We are calling all designers, artists, scientists, students, humanists and industry professionals to work together on problems and opportunities raised by technological and cultural change. Our mission is to foster real-world innovation at the dynamic intersection of design futures, storytelling and rapid prototyping.

The Futurethon participants will use storytelling and prototyping to understand the ongoing evolution of technological, social and environmental changes and its impact on governments, businesses, education, creators and consumers, with a particular focus on the future of living spaces and its impact on society over the next 20-30 years.

During this event you will be learning how to create alternative futures. Following our method of "storytelling by making", you will also learn to manifest elements of scenarios by physically prototyping an interactive environment.
